Although the President’s cabinet team is in place, a number of important positions are still waiting to be filled. The Treasury Department is one agency with high-level positions still vacant.

This week the Senate Finance Committee will vote on the nominations of George Madison to be Treasury’s General Counsel and Kim Wallace to be Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs.

Their confirmation hearing was last week; the committee also considered the nomination of Miriam Sapiro to become Deputy U.S. Trade Representative at the same hearing.
