Take Your Child to Work Day

Federal News Radio is celebrating Take Your Child to Work Day in style! Today, Matt and Lily Spaulding, the son and daughter of John Spaulding, our Director of IT, came to work with their dad to get a behind the scenes look at how a radio station is run.

When asked by Federal News Radio host Francis Rose if they wanted to work for the radio station, they answered with a resounding, “Yes!” How much do they want to get paid? Lily tells us “$10 a day” works for her.

What kind of job would they like to have? Both Matt and Lily tell us they want to be just like their daddy when they grow up.

The unofficial mascot at Federal News Radio is a sombrero named Trav we found in our studio one day. It’s “mandatory” for all staff to take a picture with Trav. Not wanting to leave our future employees out, we made sure Matt and Lily took a picture with Trav before leaving for the day.
