TSP performance: 5th month of losses

The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board has released its investment performance report.

“We’ve had a bad stretch here,” said Tom Trabucco, director of External Affairs at the FRTIB, which oversees your Thrift Savings Plan, in an interview with In Depth with Francis Rose.

This is the fifth month of losses for the TSP, Trabucco said.

“We’re still in that period where we have those very volatile swings in the market,” he said. “It just shows you really have to be there on the up days. In order to be there on the up days, you’re going to be there on the down days as well.” TSP report Oct. 2011
