The National Security Agency can legally spy on your international emails and telephone calls, but there are limits for how much and when. The Electronic Frontier Foundation says the NSA violated the laws and has decided to sue the Justice Department.

Mark Rumold, a staff attorney at the EFF, joins In Depth to discuss the lawsuit.

Also, with the surveillance provisions sunsetting at the end of the year, Rumold discusses how Congress should update the law.
