RICHMOND, Va. (AP) _ Dominion Energy Inc. (D) on Friday reported fourth-quarter profit of $682 million.
On a per-share basis, the Richmond, Virginia-based company said it had profit of 82 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 81 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 83 cents per share.
The energy company posted revenue of $3.52 billion in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $401 million, or 57 cents per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $14.17 billion.
For the current quarter ending in April, Dominion Energy expects its per-share earnings to range from $1 to $1.15.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.70 to $4 per share.
Dominion Energy shares have dropped almost 3% since the beginning of the year, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 index has risen slightly more than 4%. The stock has declined 14% in the last 12 months.
