The state of the clearance job market

May 8, 2015 — This week on “Fed Access”, Evan Lesser, founder and director of, joins host Derrick Dortch to discuss how a re-evaluation of the cleared workforce is affecting the federal job market.

Lesser says while the number of government jobs requiring a security clearance has increased in recent months, the number of cleared workers has been reduced significantly.

He also talks about the challenges federal agencies and contractors face in recruiting cleared personnel, and explains why the talent pool is shifting away from government to the private sector.
