Each year the Postal Service reports a loss of around $6 billion. Its balance sheet has an even bigger problem, though. A $73 billion and growing retirement plan deficit. The problem is, the Postal Service is limited by law where it can invest employees’ retirement funds. Paul Steidler, senior fellow at the Lexington Institute, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin with some recommendations.
