Farming techniques known as precision agriculture can raise farm productivity and make farmers better off. But precision agriculture requires broadband connectivity, something that many rural areas lack. A Senate bill would require the Federal Communications Commission to identify areas of low connectivity and work with the Agriculture Department to fix it. FCC commissioner Brendan Carr Federal Drive with Tom Temin in the studio to explain how this all might work.
