Federal employees are turning to a Delaware insurance company to save money on necessary safety nets.

Starr Wright USA helps federal employees save money on professional liability insurance by offering a variety of services and specials tailored to people who work for the federal government.

The insurance company is currently running an offer that grants new customers a free $25 gift card* when they sign up for a federal employee professional liability insurance policy.

But customers get more than a gift card when they sign up for a policy. For a limited time, Starr Wright USA is giving new policy holders 13 months of professional liability insurance for the price of 12.

Starr Wright USA Director of Marketing Honey Fender said the company offers specials likes these to thank federal government workers for their service.

“At Starr Wright USA, we believe that everyone deserves an advocate no matter their situation,” Fender said. “We prove that philosophy by giving our customers the best coverage we have at the best value we can offer.”

Federal employee professional liability policy holders can even receive a 20% discount on legal services through Brownell Landrigan, PC.

But the biggest discount in professional liability insurance ultimately comes from an unlikely source.

In 1991, Congress passed section 642 of public law 106-58, allowing the federal government to reimburse qualified federal employees up to 50 percent of their professional liability insurance. With plans starting as low as 80 cents per day, the federal government can cut the already low price in half for qualified federal employees.

Fender said Starr Wright USA’s biggest concern is employing customer-friendly business practices to ensure that federal employees get the best possible coverage.

“Some providers are known to tack on additional fees to the cost of their policies,” Fender said. “Be on the lookout for costly fees, especially when the initial price is lower than normal.”

Starr Wright USA also partners with various federal government associations to bring savings to association members. The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Federal Aviation Administration Managers Association and other associations receive a 10% discount on federal employee professional liability policies.

But Fender said the best values for customer are found by doubling their liability coverage by upgrading their plan.

“For just a few more dollars per year, you can double your coverage,” Fender said. “We go above and beyond for the people who serve our country.”

Starr Wright USA has been providing insurance and financial solutions for federal employees since 1965.
