OPM held a Facebook Live event today to discuss its 2016-2017 Dismissal and Closure procedures. OPM’s Jay Porter spoke with Dean Hunter, director of Emergency Management at OPM, and Chris Strong, a meteorologist from the National Weather Service. They discussed how OPM reaches its decisions on whether or not to close, who is involved in making those decisions, and how feds can find out what’s going on as soon as possible.
