House Democrats tell USPS to ‘go back to the drawing board’ on electric vehicle cost analysis

The Postal Service, under pressure from Congress and the Biden administration, is doubling its initial order for electric vehicles as part of its next-generation delivery vehicle fleet. But House and Senate Democrats say USPS is setting the bar too low on electrifying its delivery fleet. Lawmakers propose making electric vehicles most of the new fleet, and they’ll pay.
