State Dept. gearing up for next round of paid interns

The State Department is accepting applications for a second wave of paid internships. They’ll clock in next spring. The department is paying interns to boost diversity of its workforce … and to encourage people underrepresented groups to pursue State Department careers. It picked 200 students from 2,000 applicants for the first cohort of paid interns last year. It’ll pay all student interns starting next year 2023. For an update, Federal News Network’s Jory Heckman spoke with the department’s talent acquisition senior advisor Jennifer Danover.
