VA on-track to hire 52K health care workers in FY 2023 to handle more vets seeking care

The Department of Veterans Affairs is more than halfway to meeting its hiring goal for health care workers this fiscal year. The VA is ramping up hiring to handle an uptick in veterans who are seeking care. The PACT Act, meant to treat more veterans exposed to toxic substances, is bringing some new patients into the VA, but the agency is looking to get a better understanding of its data.
