AFCEA CMD has a new president

On this edition of Columbia Technology Partner’s Ready to Prime, Allen Scott speaks to the new president of AFCEA’s Central Maryland Chapter Jennifer Havermann.  They discuss her goals for the new AFCEA season and the what the organization brings to the table not only for Fort Meade but students by way of college scholarships.  They also discuss how AFCEA CMD will be working with the Fort Meade Alliance on a few things to bring both communities together for the good of the intelligence community.

Havermann has nearly 30 years of experience supporting missions through systems and cyber with progressively more challenging technical and leadership roles in the community. Currently, along with her role as president of the AFCEA Central Maryland, she enjoys working as a senior manager on the Raytheon AST team, as a utility player.

Previously, she managed a large portfolio of cyber programs for Raytheon AST, then moved into Raytheon IIS, Fort Meade Operations (FMO). She’s spent more than half of her working years as a civil servant with both Intelligence Community and federal agencies. Prior to joining Raytheon AST, she was Chief of Cyber Security Operations for the U.S. Department of Education, working to build out their cyber security operations and incident response programs.
