Fun stuff: everything’s bigger in Texas

• view a plant-based version of some of the best-known sights in the U.S. at the annual winter holiday model train display at the United States Botanic Garden on Capitol Hill, among them a teeny-tiny version of Texas’ famed Cadillac Ranch.

According to Family Christmas Online, the placing of a model railroad track around the Christmas tree in the home gained greatly in popularity beginning in 1901, when the Lionel Corporation began selling electric toy trains to the general public.
