But 3-D printing could help the agency send millions more artifacts to museums and schools around the world. A T-Rex dinosaur skeleton just arrived at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History. The purchase is a case study in government acquisition. It will be a centerpiece of the museum's new dinosaur hall in 2019.
