With the government’s current fiscal pressures, the current administration is picking up where the last one left off in trying to find places where it can operate more efficiently. The Government Accountability Office has a new report that offers some ideas for the Office of Management and Budget to improve its overall efficiency, beginning with an assessment of what may – or may not – have been working under the prior administration’s PART program. Bernice Steinhardt, Director of Governmentwide Management Issues for GAO, has details.
