New head named for FBI’s Cyber Division

The FBI welcomes a new person to lead its unit that handles cyber crime. Shawn Henry will take over the bureau’s criminal, cyber, response and services branch. Before this, Henry led the FBI’s DC field office. He will replace T.J. Harrington, who was promoted to become the bureau’s associate deputy director. Henry’s new unit oversees all computer-based crime related to counterterrorism, counterintelligence and criminal threats against the U.S.. It also investigates other crimes, including financial crime and public corruption.
