Social Security/AFGE negotiations take a bad turn

Contract negotiations between SSA and AFGE won\'t be going forward without the help of a special mediator.

Contract negotiations between the Social Security Administration and the American Federation of Government Employees have been ongoing for more than a year. Witold Skwierczynski, AFGE’s chief negotiator for AFGE’s contract negotiating team and president of AFGE Council 220, told Federal News Radio they’ll no longer just be meeting at the table with SSA: The next meeting will include a special mediator.
