The Veterans Affairs Department might be spending billions for a new electronic health care record system. But it is also using micro purchases to develop application programming interfaces so VA data can be used for all sorts of apps to help veterans. Drew Myklegard, the product owner for Lighthouse, joined Federal Drive with Tom Temin for a progress report on the project.
