Where: Start at District Harley-Davidson/BMW/Ducati, 7830 Airpark Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20879 — End at Daingerfield Island off the George Washington Memorial Parkway in Alexandria, VA.

Bringing federal and industry motorcycle enthusiasts together, this event raises money for federally-connected charitable organizations. This year’s run has a new starting point. And we’ve added a third charity.

Proceeds will benefit the Federal Employee Education and Assistance Fund, Friends of Patients at the NIH and — new this year — the U.S. War Dogs Association. War Dogs saves service dogs and reunites them with their handlers. The relationship was honored last year with a new sculpture of Navy Seal John Douangdara and his dog Bart, unveiled at the U.S. Navy Memorial.

This year riders will gather at District Harley-Davidson/BMW/Ducati in Gaithersburg, Maryland for a backroads ride ending up at Daingerfield Island off the George Washington Memorial Parkway.

Riders are asked for a $100 donation to join.

Every dollar raised goes equally to the three organizations. Riders receive a commemorative patch, courtesy of Federal News Network and WTOP, and a box lunch courtesy of ATARC.

Sponsorship opportunities are available. Contact Tom Temin for details.
