The Latest: Doc took pics of sex abuse; patients seek photos

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — The Latest on former patients demanding to know what happened to photos taken by a doctor accused of molestation (all times local):

3:30 p.m.

Former patients who say they were molested by a physician at Rockefeller University Hospital want to know what happened to photos that they say were taken while the abuse was occurring.

The physician, Reginald Archibald, worked at the New York City hospital from 1948 to 1982 and died in 2007. Former patients say he photographed them in the nude, supposedly for scientific research.

Former patients and their attorneys held a news conference Tuesday outside the hospital to demand the hospital say whether it has found the photos.

The hospital has said Archibald’s conduct was “inappropriate” and created a fund to help former patients pay for therapy. Hospital officials have not said whether any photos have been located. The hospital did not respond to multiple messages seeking comment on Monday.
