OPM to open D.C. area federal offices on Tuesday under 3-hour delay
OPM has announced that federal agencies in the D.C. area will open under a 3-hour delayed arrival with an option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
The Office of Personnel Management has announced that federal agencies in the D.C. area will open under a 3-hour delay with an option for unscheduled leave or unscheduled telework.
Monday night’s freezing rain has created icy conditions on roads and sidewalks. WTOP reports temperatures will be rising into the 40s generally from south to north as the morning goes on.
The Baltimore Federal Executive Board said federal agency offices in that area will open at 10 a.m. with the option for unscheduled telework or unscheduled leave.
Metro said rail and bus service will run on regular operating schedules Tuesday, but some Metrobus routes will run on snow detours due to unfavorable road conditions. WMATA urges riders to check its alerts page for changes to its bus service.
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) will operate on normal service on Tuesday. The Maryland Transit Administration said that MARC train service on the Frederick Line will experience 5-10 minute delays this morning.
A winter weather advisory is in effect for Washington, D.C. until 10 a.m. In Maryland, the advisory includes Montgomery, Howard, Carroll, Anne Arundel, Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert, and St. Mary’s counties. In Virginia, Arlington, Falls Church, and Alexandria also have a winter weather advisory until 10 a.m.
