In fiscal year 2015, the number of employees in all the cabinet level agencies stood at 1,838,352, with the Veterans Affairs Department having the largest portion of that with 324,639 workers. The VA, along with the departments of Justice, Air Force, Army, Navy and Health and Human Services saw the most growth in employment over the last 10 fiscal years.
