Recently, Insider Threat Defense, a private firm that offers training in threat program development and risk mitigation, shared insights on some of the behaviors that may indicate an employee is a potential security risk.
ITD developed the list based on studies by the Defense Personnel and Security Research Center (PERSEREC) that said “one-fourth of known American spies experienced a personal life crisis (such as a divorce, death of someone close, or a love affair gone awry) in the months before they decided to attempt espionage.”
The following are some of the at-risk behaviors ITD described.
