Reception Problems?
Federal News Network’s 1500 AM radio signal is a clear channel 50,000 watt station. Clear channel stations are those that reach a wide geographic area. The Federal Communications Commission considers clear channel stations a protected class of frequencies, which allows them to be heard for hundreds of miles, especially at night.
Despite our wide reach, you may still experience reception issues when listening to our station. Modern AM reception issues are usually caused by interference from things like power lines, different kinds of lights, motors, and even household appliances. If you experience interference issues when listening to our station on 1500 AM, please contact Federal News Network’s Chief Engineer Dave Garner.
