The National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service is wrapping up its first year. The bipartisan, 11-member commission–created by Congress–seeks to inspire more young Americans to serve their country. The group released their Interim Report on January 23rd, which outlines their progress and plans to date. Hear Commissioner Mark Gearan discuss the commission’s work in greater detail. He will join host Julie Perkins to explain how the commission defines public service, what they have done in their first year, and how they plan to move forward. Also offering his perspective will be Max Stier, President and CEO of the Partnership for Public Service.
