DC Beer Week is back, August 9-16th. It’s a celebration of good beer in the National Capital Region from conception to consumption and everyone and everything in between.
Since its founding in 2008, the event has grown each year attracting thousands – from self-proclaimed beer geeks and home brewers to the casual beer drinker. This year’s event includes more than 200 different activities taking place throughout the District and across the region.

Today’s show is a roundtable discussion about the event, the state of the craft beer industry and much more. Guests include Chris Van Orden: DC Beer Week co-chair; mixologist Gina Chersevani, owner of Suburbia at Union Market; Brandon Skall, co-owner of DC Brau; Andrew Cummings tasting room manager at Port City; Josh Chapman, brewer at Bluejacket and Angel Martinez, beverage manager at High Velocity sports bar in the Marriott Marquis.
