New task force wants to get the attention of Congress about space traffic management

It is getting crowded up in space these days, and not just from operational equipment. Tens of thousands of objects are circling Earth, threatening launch vehicles, space assets, and even human lives. Now a coalition of experts is pressing lawmakers to do something about it before it’s too late. I recently spoke to one of the members of the AIAA Space Traffic Management Coalition, Dan Dumbacher, who himself is executive director of the AIAA.
