It’s a big week for the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, the entity that manages Recovery dot gov, and oversees spending under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This Friday is their first deadline to release data on recipients of Recovery Act money. Many observers are calling this the first measure of how agencies are doing at getting the money allocated in the act, into the economy.

Ed DeSeve is special advisor to the Office of Management and Budget director for implementation of the Recovery Act, and special advisor to the Vice President. He’s talking about how the agencies are getting the data ready, the challenges they came across while preparing it, and how much data is going to be ready on Friday.
