The United States Air Force Band, the premier Air Force musical organization, rehearses at its studio on Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C.

The United States Air Force Band has been performing since 1941, and is the premier Air Force musical organization.

The 184 member squadron is based out of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Washington, D.C., and performs almost 1,600 missions each year.

The squadron is led by conductor Col. Larry H. Lang, who took command in March 2012. Previously, Lang commanded the the Air Force Band of the Pacific in Alaska, the Air Force Heritage of America Band in Virginia, the Air Force Band of Liberty in Massachusetts and the Air Force Academy Band in Colorado.
