The General Services Administration's next move toward a replacement for the Networx contract is under way. The Network Services 2020 strategy includes a strategy white paper and a transition strategy white paper. Mary Davie is assistant commissioner of the Office of Integrated Technology Services at GSA. Shrinking the federal government's real estate holdings is the goal of seemingly every administration. The General Services Administration and the Office of Personnel Management will move ahead with a partnership to manage a multiple award contract for human capital and training services. The agencies issued a memorandum of understanding detailing each agency's roles -- GSA will take over facets of acquisition and OPM is responsible for services side of the contract. GSA Administrator Dan Tangherlini says the end goal is to procure these types of services at a lower price.
