Thank you for letting me vent. I had three conference calls today. All were with good people, well-meaning people. We were planning conference panels or updates to a document. We accomplished our goals. Yet, how is it we put up with this difficult, tiresome technology that thrives as a caricature of itself? Conference calls feel like a legacy of that long communications era between the end of the Dictabelt and dawn of email. Conference calls live on as an analog tradition everyone hates but for which no one has found a better alternative.
