A former State Department employee has been sentenced after a probe revealed he snooped on presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain passports. Lawrence Yontz, 48, was sentenced to 12 months probation and 50 hours of community service. He had pleaded guilty in September to one count of unauthorized computer access. He illegally viewed passport files belonging to politicians, entertainers, athletes, business leaders and game-show contestants, as well as neighbors and colleagues. Four contract workers including Yontz lost their jobs.
