**Original Donation** An investigation by the Naval History and Heritage Command revealed that the glass-plate photos were originally donated to the San Francisco Museum of Science and Industry by Mrs. Charles Dutreaux, the wife of Lt. C.J. Dutreaux, shown here, who was a sailor aboard the USS Olympia.

Correspondence revealed the collection was sent to the Naval Historical Foundation Jan. 3, 1948, which maintained the collection until 2008, when it was transferred to NHHC.
