David Cotton, the Defense Department’s deputy chief information officer for Information Enterprise, joined Federal News Radio Wednesday, June 17, for an online chat to discuss the latest progress on the Joint Information Environment, modernizing old systems to take advantage of JIE, Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS), JIE oversight authorities and more.

Cotton became the deputy chief information officer in March 2015. Immediately prior to that, Cotton served as principal director in the same office. Cotton served in the Air Force for 29 years and has also worked in the private sector.
