This week on <a href="http://federalnewsradio.com/category/radio-interviews/fed-access/" target="_blank">"Fed Access"</a> , Kana Enomoto, principal deputy administrator with the <a href="http://www.samhsa.gov/" target="_blank">Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)</a>, and public health adviser Kaitlin White, join host Derrick Dortch to discuss what the agency is doing to achieve its goal of reducing "the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America's communities".

SAMHSA was created by Congress in 1992 to make substance abuse and mental health information and research more accessible. It's an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services and has more than 600 employees, and a budget of $3.7 billion.
