Farming techniques known as precision agriculture can raise farm productivity and make farmers better off. But precision agriculture requires broadband connectivity, something that many rural areas lack. A Senate bill would require the Federal Communications Commission to identify areas of low connectivity and work with the Agriculture Department to fix it.
