The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is about to launch another in its series of Joint Polar Satellite Systems. The rocket that carries it aloft has extra lift capacity, and so NOAA is inviting builders of other earth-observing satellites to come along for the ride. Karen St. Germain, director of NOAA’s systems architecture and advanced planning, had the details on Federal Drive with Tom Temin.
