The policy change, announced May 31 through an internal memo obtained by Federal News Network, would require most employees to work in the office at least four days a week, a significant turnaround for an agency that until recently had encouraged greater adoption of telework. Despite the disapproval of some lawmakers and unions, that policy went into effect Oct. 1, and now the Department of Health and Human Services is following suit.
