Glen Bjorklund Deputy Director for Administration Sept. 11th, 2008

This week, host Tom Temin talks telework.

The FDIC has developed an award-winning telework program for some 1,300 of its bank examiners. These feds rarely come to the office and have to be ready to travel at a moment’s notice when a bank is in trouble.

These skilled individuals carry fully encrypted notebook computers that are often wiped clean after a case is closed.

On this week’s show, Bjorklund describes the security setup and the training FDIC staff receives in security — all to support telework.
