Some familiar faces may be returning to the Pentagon. President-elect Barack Obama has named William Lynn as deputy defense secretary.

Some familiar faces may be returning to the Pentagon. President-elect Barack Obama has named William Lynn as deputy defense secretary. Michele Flournoy, a former principal deputy assistant defense secretary, is his choice for under secretary of defense for policy; and Robert Hale, former assistant secretary of the Air Force, has been appointed comptroller. Jeh Johnson, former Air Force general counsel, has been named to become Defense Department general counsel.
