Congress is introducing new legislation designed to help small businesses adopt healthcare IT. The Small Business Health Information Technology Financing Act will help small businesses get over the financial hurdles that may prevent them from incorporating technology into their practices. Although small practices provide nearly three quarters of all ambulatory care visits in the United States, many don’t have enough resources to improve the quality of care or develop electronic health records.
