OMB to change how agencies implement financial management

A major shift in the way agencies implement financial management systems is coming.

The Office of Management and Budget is considering requiring new and existing financial management development and modernization programs to seek approval before moving forward.

A draft memo obtained by Federal News Radio says OMB wants to increase oversight and shorten the time frame for financial management systems implementation.
