DoD Cyber 3.0 strategy to focus on cyber missions

While speaking at the RSA conference in San Francisco DoD Deputy Director William Lynn said the military will need to change how it views cybersecurity.

Cyber 3.0 is the name of the five-part strategy from Deputy Defense Secretary William Lynn.

While speaking at the RSA conference in San Francisco Lynn says the military will need to change how it views cybersecurity.

He says, the cyber command needs to recognizes cyberspace into a sphere of operations. This means it needs to organize, train and equip forces to perform cyber-missions – think of them as cyber-commandos.

The new strategy also highlights the need for the U.S. to build a cooperative defenses with its allies.
