Both shoes have now dropped and the doubt in the intelligence community about the rest of President elect Barack Obama’s Natiional Security Team can be put to rest. Admiral Dennis Blair is said to be Obama’s Director of National Intelligence and former Clinton Chief of staff Leon Panetta is his choice to be the next CIA Director. Blair was expected, but Panetta came as a surprise to many, considering the most recent CIA directors had some history in the community. Challenges facing them include; connecting with the intelligence community, and a host of existing global issues including Pakistan, Al Qaida, Iran, Russia and China.
