Former Vice President Dick Cheney went to the President several times in the final days of the administration to ask for a pardon for Scooter Libby, only to be rebuffed each time. Cheney was reportedly furious with Bush over this, and it further soured a relationship that had already suffered in recent years. Bush’s reasons for not granting the pardon remain mostly a mystery, but CNN’s Brian Todd says there are some clues.
