‘Anonymous’ hackers attack China firewall

Hackers from the group Anonymous claim to have broken into Chinese government computers, with the ultimate objective to take down the country's firewall.

China is the latest target of the hacker group “Anonymous.” Someone posting on the Twitter handle @AnonymousChina, provided links to data files containing passwords and other personal information from websites the group had hacked. According to a Reuters report, a member of the group said the attacks are “to show the truth and fight for justice.”

The group, which has previously attacked financial and government websites around the world, promised the attacks would continue, with the ultimate aim to take down the country’s firewall.
