Top agencies still at risk for cybersecurity attack

Think your social networking tools are safe? Think again. Cyber criminals have stolen the identity of some high ranking officials around the world, including the head of Interpol.
Information Week reports the cyber crooks set up two facebook accounts in the name of Ronald Noble, who heads up the international police organization.
Interpol’s Incident Response Team was able to track down one of the cyber criminals — and discover the crook was using the fake account to get information on a recent global Interpol-led operation — called Operation Infra Red — which led to the arrests of more than 130 criminals.
And Noble isn’t the only high ranking official to be hacked — The Twitter account of the French Ministry of foreign affairs was also hacked.
A hacker sent out a message to thousands of followers saying undiplomatic things, the New New Internet reports.
This was not the first time hackers targeted the French Foreign Affairs Ministry. In July, hacktivists hijacked its official website and posted a message promising that France would repay Haiti’s foreign debt.
