The Defense Department said warfighters now have new ways to share from anywhere in the world.

The Net-Centric Enterprise Services Program, a project of the Defense Information Systems Agency, allows secure information sharing between soldiers in the field, as well as between systems. Soldiers will be able to use it to search for all kinds of information and collaborate with each other faster then they could before.

According to a release, “One of the greatest benefits to the warfighter is that they are able to leverage these services to obtain information to enhance their common operational picture,” said NCES Program Manager, Denise Gentile.

Gentile also said the program will help eliminate redundancy across the department.
